This exhibition presents a unique combination of Kuchar's films, videos, paintings and drawings, and is organized by San Francisco-based artist Julio Cesar Morales and Mexico City-based artist Miguel Calderon, two of Kuchar's former students.

Closing reception Saturday, January 8, 2011, 6-8 pm with artist and curators in attendance.

Psychic Outlaws is an exhibition inspired by Annie Buckley’s novel of the same name. Nineteen contemporary artists from Los Angeles will be given a different chapter of the book, and each will make new work in response. The exhibition becomes a unique collaboration and physical iteration of Buckley’s words and the themes of psychology, memory, alternative healing, feminism, and metaphorical reasoning found in the narrative. This exhibition is curated by John Souza with Annie Buckley.

TERRITORIES, LEFT OF CENTER (FEB 6 - MAR 27)

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday | Feb 6, 2010 | 6PM-8PM

Territories, Left of Center is an exhibition that elaborates on philosopher and cultural critic Walter Benjamin's claim that "to live is to leave traces." Focusing on sculptural works and constructions, the exhibition considers the body and its surroundings, and suggests a sculptural language of dissent. The featured artists respond, in diverse ways, to institutional hierarchies, materiality, and transience.
