RUBBERBANDANCE

RADICALLY INNOVATIVE.

Presenting choreographic works that examine human relationships, this extraordinary collection of world-class dancers articulates the perfect marriage between explosive hip-hop physicality and the subtle profoundness of contemporary story telling. A combination of the narrative, the spectacular, and freedom of break dancing with the abstraction, nuances, and technique of contemporary dance results in a true hybrid of dance forms.

QUÉBECOIS WITH CALI ROOTS.

Under the direction of distinguished dancer and choreographer Victor Quijada, Rubberbandance has soared to extraordinary levels. The Los Angeles native formulates a refined repertoire that amalgamates his early roots with his transplanted foundation.

DAVID DORFMAN DANCE

BOISTEROUSLY SERENE.

Founded in 1985, David Dorfman Dance has been revolutionizing the American dance aesthetic while challenging boundaries ever since.

PROGRESSIVE.

David Dorfman Dance presents underground- a multi-media riot of the senses exploring the boundaries between activism and terrorism. Inspired by the militant Weathermen, a 1960s/1970s offshoot of Students for a Democratic Society, underground explores the inside world of political activism and poses large questions to present-day protesters, activists, war resisters and ordinary citizens. Does what you do make a difference? In a violent world, can you fight for peace?
