At the forefront of the Malian roots movement, Rokia Traoré's music explores traditional African rhythms and effortlessly blends them with American blues and soul beats. Making her Luckman debut, Rokia Traoré will perform her new album, Beautiful Africa, in its entirety.

LUCKMAN JAZZ ORCHESTRA

The Luckman Jazz Orchestra, led by acclaimed musician and conductor Charles Owens, is an internationally admired ensemble of Los Angeles’ greatest jazz musicians. Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “one of the finest musical organizations” around, the LJO returns to the Luckman stage with a tribute to jazz legends!

ISABELLA ROSSELLINI

 

 

The legendary actress and model makes her Luckman debut with the Los Angeles-premiere of Green Porno: Live On Stage. Initially produced as a series of original short films for the Sundance Channel, Rossellini and co-writer Jean-Claude Carrière adapt their project for the stage and explore the natural mating rituals of various species from arthropods to pachyderms.

LEVITT PAVILION PRESENTS: COLIN HAY

In a special performance brought to you by the Levitt Pavilion, the Luckman welcomes Australian singer Colin Hay. Best known as the lead singer of Men At Work, the platinum-selling band that topped worldwide charts in the 80s with anthems like Down Under and Who Can It Be Now?, Hay’s solo shows intersperse classic and new songs with hilarious, poignant, and downright surreal stories drawn from his often unbelievable experiences over the past three decades.
